Unto These Hills is one of the nation’s foremost outdoor dramas.   Sliding Rock, Brevard NC
Sliding Rock is a waterfall in Western North Carolina, located near Brevard, so named because visitors can slide all the way down the waterfall into the plunge pool below .
   
 
  Dupont Falls, Brevard NC
You'll visit up to 5 of the 6 major waterfalls in Dupont State Forest. It starts as an easy path to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in the area: Hooker, Triple, and High Falls. Covered picnic shelters with views of the falls make for excellent family outing possibilities. If you wish to continue to Grassy Creek and Bridal Veil Falls, this will become a moderate hike. You'll cross the big covered bridge and pass a beautiful mountain lake on the way - well worth the extra effort!
   
 
  Blue Ridge Parkway
The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 469-mile road that stretches between the Shenandoah and Great Smoky Mountain national parks. This scenic drives offers visitors access to 300 overlooks and countless picturesque views of the wilderness, as well as historical and cultural sites. There are over 200 historical places on the route, from the Moses Cone mansion to the modest Puckett cabin.
